Besides making the design of the site more "urban" there needs to be easier access to the current inventory. You have the search by price at the bottom of the page. I really like the maps and videos and description of the buildings but realized I wasn't seeing what is currently for sale. This is a great resource for people looking for condos in Uptown Charlotte but you want to make sure they stay focused on what is currently for sale.
Although sites (in my opinion) should not be focused on the agent, I do think there could be more about you or your company on a separate page. When people go from being a casual visitor to considering using your services they often want to know something about who is behind the site.

Only one IDX per firm in the state of North Carolina. I can't do all those things you would like to see.
I wish I could have my own IDX with listings in each building, but can't. I think this may change soon. Quote:

Let me see, yep your right, it is there. However, typically a geographic location is typed in with the search term real estate, homes for sale, condos for sale, etc. IE atl condos

Maybe you can talk your broker into customizing their IDX, or if you are serious about building a presense on the web even switching brokers to someone who has NO web presence that you could work around and create an idx that works for your site. I would also consider getting involved in your local MLS committee to get that rule changed.

http://realtygenerator.com/ We can't customize it. Switching brokers isn't an option either. The comission split I have with my company is very good. They only take out $300 per transaction. The MLS committee has been getting lots of heat as everyone has that rule. One of the guys from the MLS told me to e mail him in one month, he may have good news! |
