the Unofficial Guide to Real Estate Investing - isbn:- 0-02-863665-1 A new favorite is: The Millionaire real estate investor: isbn: 0-07-144637-0

Absolutely any book you pick up, that has anything to do with Real estate investing will teach you something, so my goal, and yours too, should be to read every single one of them!
Okay, I don't think it's possible but I'm trying anyway. Here's a tip. Find what books you can at the library on audio cds or tapes and listen to them when you are in the car, out for a bike ride, mowing the lawn, supposedly listening to your spouse.... The book I started with was "Income For Life" by Robert Minton. Excellent strategy for investing!! |

Hi Randy...this isn't exactly a book, but it has helped me so much! It's an audio cd course about how to invest in Foreclosures. I just finished up with it and I learned alot. I highly recommend it. You can get it on www.foreclosure.com and click on "Real Estate Courses".

Their are plenty of RE books out there to learn from! A good way to know if a book might be good is go to amazon.com and check out reviews! Make sure there are more than a couple reviews on the book.
A good book for beginners that I've read is Trump University Real Estate 101. The author has been writing books on REI, a professor, REI, and consultant to fortune 500 companies for over 25 years and his portfolio is 150 million. Good read. |

I would have to agree with Staci about the foreclosure.com course. I would also agree with Beck that you should read (or listen to) any book you can find on investing. My personal preference of course are the books I authored, but most books will provide helpful information. Ideally, you should focus on those that do offer step-by-step information that you can replicate for yourself.

The Real Estate Game is a good book. A good web site to analyze investment property based on what is covered in the book is www.recalc.net
