REALTORS opposed to $8,000 Tax Credit

Real Estate Webmasters Blogs beats Neil Cavuto on this story by 20 plus days! 

Yep, yesterday Neil Cavuto on Fox News claimed to have found one of the only RELTORS opposed to the $8,000 First Time Home Buyer Credit. 

In the interview, the agent that reportedly serves Gazillionaires and one of the most prominent REALTORS in the country, stated that we would all be better off if the markets found their natural levels or equilibrium. Exactly the same message left in the comments of Jolenta's fine write up on the pros of the program and countered by Robert Worthington and myself approximately 20 days before.

The Gulf Shores Real Estate Market has made substantial downward price adjustments in the past year!

As you all know when markets get to extremes there is a long cooling off period before reality sets in. When that happens it takes quite some time for prices to adjust back down to where they should be. Often in finding the equilibrium of supply and demand there is a freezing up in demand that moves prices to the opposite extreme.  While we have no crystal ball looking into the future, we are confident that the Gulf Shores Real Estate market has made substantial downward adjustments that present buying opportunity for those that are looking for value on the beaches of the Alabama Gulf of Mexico.

Gulf Shores Condos and Orange Beach Condos have been seeing a little more activity as we move into the spring break season.

There has definitely been a large increase in buyer interest as prices have adjusted down considerably and interest rates remain quite low.  Website statistics indicate large increases in registrations and return visitors indicating further buyer interest than what the February 2009 Condo Market Statistics indicate.

We have also observed what appears to be a readiness to move off of the fence and make offers. We have multiple agents with multiple buyers scheduling showings over the next several days. Perhaps we are seeing a bottoming of the market.
