The Chancellor’s Exhibition Series art exhibit is open to the general public WSU Tri-Citiesat the East Building of WSU Tri-Cities, 2710 University Drive. Tumbleweed Music Festival 2007 ~ From Bluegrass To Opera

Richland's Alphabet Houses

When a buyer is considering Richland Wa real estate, Richland's alphabet housing becomes the center of conversation. Richland is famous for the alphabet houses designed by Albin Pherson, the Spokane based architect commissioned by the US government during the government's development of the atomic bomb. It took Pherson about 3 months to make a blue print for Richland. By April 1943 the first house was ready even as the streets were being paved.

Using lumber and the ranch style of dwellings, Pherson sought inspiration from the renowned architect Frank Lloyd Wright. Houses sported the alphabet designs, and the pyramidal and box shapes. Most alphabet houses are duplexes, or double-sided residences.

Richland's Atomic Amber Microbrew

The one and only Atomic Amber Microbrew is a product of Richland Washington's Atomic Ale Brewpub and Eatery. Like all great North American amber ales, Atomic Amber Microbrew is a beer that has a color ranging from pale copper to a light brown. The ale gains its distinct character from the American-variety of hops that produce a high level of bitterness, flavor and aRichland Brewery medium to high aroma. On the medium to high side of maltiness, Atomic Amber has medium to low caramel features.

Columbia Point Golf Course

Columbia Point Golf Course is set in the lush green landscapes of Richland Washington.  This is a high class course, with a daily fee facility which is owned by Richland City.  The course has been reported to be challenging, although all levels of golfers will enjoy a game here. Located to the east of the Cascade Mountains, the Columbia River flows right past its doorstep.

James J. Engh designed the feature mounds, the undulating fairways and the large open spaces of greens. The course was officially opened in 1997 and Columbia Point ensures that it s golf shop, café, covered patio area and driving range are fully stocked with needed amenities.
