Realtor Safety Tips
Posted Sep 16, 2009 @ 4:45 pm, Viewed by 280 Visitors, Read 301 Times. As you may know, it’s REALTOR Safety Week. In an effort to heighten the safety awareness of real estate agents – both locally and nationally – the Greater Raleigh Realty Team has created a list of tips and suggestions to ensure that one’s safety is always at the forefront of one’s mind.
All too often, real estate agents put themselves in potentially hazardous situations. For instance, agents are at risk when:
- meeting clients for the first time outside a vacant home,
- accompanying clients in their vehicles (or ours) as they view properties in-person, and when
- individually hosting an open house.
Sadly, over the weekend, a local Cary NC Realtor fell victim to a sexual assault while showing a property. This tragic incident coupled with NAR’s Safety Week has us wondering, “What are some real estate safety tips that you utilize as you conduct your real estate business?”
We’ve compiled a list of Realtor safety tips, but by no means is it exhaustive. So, please leave your tips, comments, suggestions, etc as we work to compile a resource of safety tips for real estate professionals across the states.
