O.K. If you don't want to hear a rant then you should leave now! I find it unbelievable that with all of the new construction homes in Atlanta and the surrounding cities that I can only find 1, that's right, 1 new construction ranch home for sale in Alpharetta or Roswell between $600,000 and $900,000. What is wrong with builders in this city? The architectural style of the vast majority of new construction homes all look very similar at this price point. This lack of variety, I believe has helped to contribute to the stagnating market at this price point.

Let's think about this for a minute. Let's say you are approaching middle age or older and want to buy your last home (many people are like this); why would you want to have two flights of stairs in your home? Most people are tired of walking up and down stairs by the time they reach their mid forties and would be better served with a ranch home with a finished terrace level.

Are you listening?

Come up with a good home and it will sell. Keep building the same homes and they will sit empty like the ones right next door. How hard is this to figure out? What do you think people want in a new home? Don't tell me pretty kitchens and baths because my 1 year old know that! Let me help a little because no one seems to be building it - They want a home that is easy to live in. Can you tell me what is more difficult than climbing stairs in your home? I didn't think so. Why is it that I get more inquiries about the lack of good ranch homes than anything else? Here, I'll answer that for you as well. Because they don't want what is available....

O.K. I feel better now, but, I still can't find a home for two clients moving to Alpharetta and cumming in the next two months because it doesn't exist.
