Nanaimo Bathtub Weekend Fireworks and Lightning Show

I really like the illuminated clouds in the lightning photos - how the heck did you get such great lightning shots?

I used a tripod. I set my camera to a 5 second exposure and set it to take 10 photos at a time. Then I fired off about 250 photos 
got about 10 good ones out of it. Theres some more up on Flickr.
Steve, you're going to have to show me how to do this with my new camera. I tried taking a bunch of pictures and they didn't turn out as nice as these. I did get one nice shot, though.

That night I sat on my porch with a bag of kettle corn, and took in the fireworks show / lightning storm. 'Twas just lovely ^_^
