SoCal MLS expands property listings through Carets database

Southern California Multiple Listing Service (SoCal MLS), the second largest MLS in the nation, now has a new tool for real estate professionals to better serve their clients in Southern California. Carets (California Real Estate Technology Services, Inc.) is a first-of-its-kind, new region-wide MLS that includes 4-MLS systems in the region to provide a database that includes listing from Ventura to San Clemente and throughout the Inland Empire. CARETS represents over 100,000 agents throughout the regional area. Potential home buyers will now have access to all of the listings throughout the new expanded, regional coverage area by using one trusted real estate agent. As part of the long term state initiative for a single database, participating MLSs include the Combined Los Angeles/Westside MLS, CRISnet Regional MLS, iTECH MLS, MRMLS, and Southern California MLS. A Northern California regional MLS, MLS Listings Inc., announced earlier in the year that it will partner with the CARETS effort.
