What is Abacoa ?

Abacoa is a 2,000 plus acre master community.  It is home to the Roger Dean Baseball Park - home to the Florida Marlins and St. Luis Cardinals Spring Training Camps.  The Abacoa Towncenter is centrally located in Abacoa as a mixed use area with a business and restaurant area on the ground and condos above. There is also the Abacoa Golf Course located just to the west of Towncenter and Roger Dean Stadium.

Florida Atlantic University has an Honors campus just south of the Abacoa Towncenter and the new Scripps Medical Research project is being developed beside the campus.

 What is happening to the Abacoa Real Estate Market ?

Were it is difficult to accurately capture the total sales in Abacoa - due to different ways that Agents name the sub-divisions and development information in the MLS.  Based on the 2006 sold data where "Abacoa" is part of the Development name - there were 117 Abacoa properties sold in 2006.  Using the same criteria in 2007 there have been 93 properties sold since the beginning of the year.  So the numbers are on track to be very close to last years total sales.  With the Scripps project coming the outlook for the future of Abacoa continues to be good.

What are the top selling communities in Abacoa?

NewHaven in Abacoa (23 properties sold in 2007)

There are 29 properties for sale in NewHaven. Four of these properties are currently under contract.  With 23 sales since the first of the year, NewHaven has one of the best absorbtion rates in the area. Martinique at Abacoa (8 properties sold in 2007)
