I really don't like the contact links all over the place on comments - check out this post (Look at the comments) http://www.realestatewebmasters.com/blogs/ryan-ward/203/show/

The comments section looks like crap because it has a link to my blog, a link to contact me, my name (Also a link) and then my pic.

What I would rather this looked like was my picture (I really like this element and want to keep it, perhaps with my name directly under the pic as a hyperlink to my blog (Link to blog important) - and find a way to make a better use of that space.

Now onto http://www.realestatewebmasters.com/blogs/all/ - once again a really poor use of space, I like that…

2 of the things I would like to roll out this week are static pages and sort order for those pages, as well as a sort order for the bategories - we should use the new ajax drag and drop thing for this

What else? Oh yeah, I would like to show the amount of views and amount of comments next to the blog entries (Without having to view the details) so that users can see which are the most active, and which have the interest at a glance.

Hmmmm on a roll - don't forget about "My Google Maps" (Not going to post me idea here cause I like it and I'm greedy, you guys will see it soon)

Better Digg, Delicious graphics / links for new design - also look at other social networking sites.

Right now when someone posts a comment and they are not an REW blog member that comment is put into a queue and we have to manually accept deny or edit each comment. When you get a lot of comments, especially if they are spam, this can be annoying.

What do we need to do? Have a checkbox system so you can go through and check all your accepts, all your deny's or accept or delete all. Basic stuff.

I need a sort order feature for the categories in the REW blogs so that we can move the suckers up and down, also would like to be able to move categories into subcategories or turn a sub category into a category. Read Full Post

Although the basic backend seems to be working for the listings feature of the REW blogs there is still no app for uploading images for the listings from your computer.

I am thinking I am going to use a flash slideshow for these listings so that it jazzes up the pages a little more, also we need to integrate the mortgage calculator, map of property and enquire functions directly into the system - finally we have to dynmically attach the enquire forms to the listings so that it populates a "Please send me information on property xyz" and sends to the email address on file for the blog user.

For the blog posts the pagination definitly needs to be at the bottom, but does it need to be at teh top as well? Now that I think about it, it should ony be at the bottom at least for the main page. Read Full Post

This is just for the REW side, but it should be a lot easier to edit the main page of the blog, at least the message portion as an administrator and not have to go into the include files and figure out where the hell to edit the main page (Although I think it is in index.php) Read Full Post
