Design changes for Joel

One of the first areas I want to address is the user info area at the top right of the blogs where the picture and about bio is. I don''t know exactly where and what to change, but I think it is lacking.

So where to start? The RSS feed image - it is small and not that pleasing, I had referenced another site at http://www.10e20.com/ I really like the look of their RSS feed graphic, I would like something like that, it just dresses up the blogs a lot more graphically.

Next the logo, right now it reads Real Estate Webmasters - I think it should read, REW Blogs. We still want to use the circle with green swishes, but changing the verbiage should reinforce the REW BLogs brand.

I would also like to add blockquote to the format dropdown (This is a programming thing) - but what I would like it to look like is the quotes we use  at http://www.realestatewebmasters.com/blogdesign/ check out the little Blog Quotes part with the little quotation marks.

Another thing that is severly lacking that Joel and I need to work on together is the presentation of the homepage for users that are not logged in. Check out http://www.realestatewebmasters.com/blogs/ - there is just nothing there, we should have some sort of graphic, and need to decide what other elements to integrate - check out digg.com for inspiration

I think the user area needs a bit of colour and to have the name (e.g. "Morgan Carey's Blog") moved within the frame, maybe over a light blue background as with the left nav. The RSS logo we're using is the little one from the Firefox address bar. I've never cared for it. A lot of users may not know what RSS is, but even if they do, they won't necessarily have a clue what that logo means. Integrating the word "RSS" helps for sure.

I agree on the RSS feed logo -- needs to be bigger. I like what you've done with the homepage and the map...great use of that graphic.

Sorry for butting in here....Taking recommendations? Any chance of being able to dictate the "title". My blog right now says in the upper right corner "Memphis's Blog". I may have signed up for the wrong name, but it seems that the title of the blog would be changeable, or dictated by our input in the blog settings.
