Starting today in the State of Texas, first time home buyers or anyone that hasn't owned a home in the last 3 years, doesn't need a down payment if you quailfy for the $8000 tax credit. Click here to see if you qualify

They are allowing you as a buyer to use this money as your dow npayment and/or closing costs. The catch is, you have to be under contract no later then Oct 15, 2009 and close by Nov 30, 2009. The reason for this is it will take at least 45 days to close on your new home. One other thing, the money is limited and you will need to act fast. Click here for more details.
