New Data is In for the Forced vs Unforced Registration Test

We are 4-weeks into our Forced vs. Unforced Registration Test and the results have been predictable, unpredictable, shocking and just plain interesting.  If you are not familiar with what we are doing, Read More about our project.

When this all began, we were cautiously optimistic about having a Forced Registration website and not sure what to do with our other 2 LEC's that Real Estate Webmasters built for us.  Without hard data to convince us, we embarked on this journey and so far it looks like Forced Registration is the way to go.

After the 1st week of reporting data, the jury was still out.  We saw 30% more non-IDX leads register on the Unforced Website, but subsequent week's have trended differently.  Week 2 data showed conversion rates more than triple for the Forced Site and in the Week 3 data it was nearly quadruple.

With conversion rates on the rise for our Forced Site and overall site traffic up, our Week 4 Data post is worth checking out.  If you have an opinion on this topic or just want to learn as much as you can before jumping into a Forced Registration Website, there is a whole website dedicated to this topic: www.forcedregistration.com.

We generally post our data results on Thursday's at: www.barkerhedges.com so check back and stay informed!

Cheers,

Matt

Interesting!  Cal has been telling me about this.  I am beginning to understand much better now that our LEC4 has gone live at www.NorthGaLife.com .  We are expecting similar results and already are seeing some interesting developments after only being "live" for one week and most of the traffic being from redirects at this point.  We can't wait for the new site to get a good indexing!

So Matt, what is your partners reaction to the testing?

I think Brandon's biggest suprise has been the forced site achieving the same amount of listing inquiries/showing requests.  I think he always believed that the forced site would achieve more leads overall, but at the expense of the higher quality leads.  This test has proven that the same amount of high quality leads can be achieved "along with" many low quality leads that can be incubated and worked over time.  Its a WIN WIN if you ask me!

Matt's correct.  I was skeptical about the quality of leads that would be produced by the Forced Site vs. an Unforced Site.  So far, I am happy to say that my skepticism was completely misguided.  We have seen nearly identical results for non-IDX leads...but a HUGE difference in the number of IDX leads.  Let's just say I'm rapidly becomming a believer!
