Over 180 New Properties Now Added To Our Cheap Property Spain Category

Further to my last post regarding the additon of cheap properties in Spain, we have exceeded expectations and added a total of 180 properties this week alone. There are apartments and some villas in this selection and they are in locations such as Marbella, Mijas, Estepona and Manilva regions.

This month we have seen quite a surge in our server log for all phrases related to discount properties in the Costa Del Sol region and therefore we are trying to provide what our clients our looking for within this price bracket. I detailed a good example of the type of listings we are now achieving in my last REW post, showing a relatively large penthouse for under the €150k mark.

All prospective clients should be aware, however that if they intend to take finance on their property buying costs can be up to 13% on top of the purchase price. This includes mortgage set up costs in addition to IVA or transfer tax, lawyers fees, notary fees and further minor additional costs associated with purchasing property in Spain. Clients should also ensure they know about community charges, wealth tax and all the inheritance taxes before they proceed with any purchase.

Buyers should also be aware that in the current banking climate, they should expect to have 30% of the purchase price in cash. Banks are moving away from giving more than 70% of the property price except for the occasional isolated case.
