Damac’s First Dubailand Project Gets Underway

Costing around AED 235 billion, Dubailand will be the most ambitious tourism and leisure destination ever attempted. Covering over 3 million square feet, we are talking of a development on a scale never previously attempted. With seven themed areas, broken down into another 45 megaprojects, it will offer something for all the family. Expecting to draw some 15 million people a year to Dubai, the project is certainly going to do a lot for Dubai tourism. In fact there will be over 55 hotels based in the area! However it is not just tourism that is set to benefit from Dubailand, as there will be a huge array of property also for sale in the area, with Dubailand expected to have a population somewhere in the region of 2.5 million people once all areas have been completed thats a lot of Dubai apartments!

Due to the sheer scale of the project, it will open in stages, the last of which is expected to be ready in 2020. However plenty of property has already been released here, with many projects planning and building already underway. And Dubai real estate giant Damac has recently announced that its Lincoln Park development has recently begun construction, the first to reach this level of development amongst Damac’s many planned projects here.

Built in a Chicago type architectural style, the low style apartment buildings, of which there are 7 in total, will help residents get the most out of their leisure time. With flat roofs, grand ornamental entranceways and sun terraces, plus shops on the ground floor, things certainly sound good. The development is just one of many freehold property developments now underway throughout Dubailand, which is quickly progressing.

With other Dubailand areas like Sports City already generating a huge deal of international interest, things here are certainly looking positive, and with much more to come, you just know Dubailand will be an unprecedented success. With freehold real estate on offer here ranging from huge colonial style mansions to stylish studio apartments, you can rest assured of finding a suitable property in what will be one of the worlds most happening areas.
