The Palm generally refers to the first of Nakheel's Palm projects, The Palm Jumeirah. Since the launch of the Palm Jumeirah, Nahkeel has come up with the Palm Trilogy, which also includes the Palm Jebel Ali and the Palm Deira, which can slightly confuse matters, but for the purpose of this blog anyway we will be focusing on the Palm Jumeriah. Nowadays Dubai freehold property developer Nakheel has a reputation of producing ground breaking projects, that generally capture large media and investor attention, and it was back with the Palm Jumeirah in 2001 that this really began. Since then Nakheel has been involved in projects such as the World Dubai, The Dubai Waterfront, Jumeriah Islands and Jumeirah village, all of which have meet with great success, yet it is still the Palm that remains the crowing Jewel in Nakheel's Portfolio!
For those not sure of the exact nature of this project, The Palm Jumeirah is a man made island that was built out in the Arabian Gulf, in the shape of a palm tree. It consists of a main trunk, with 17 fronds off that, and then an outer crescent which will form a water breaker, and all of which contains a wide array of freehold property. The Palm also features a number of entertainment areas, hotels and resorts in order to provide the full living experience.
The residential freehold property here has been in huge demand since initially launched, and now changes hands of the secondary property market for large premiums. For those not put off by the prices here, which rank as some of the highest in Dubai, then there is a good range of property from which to select from. If you want a villa, then Garden Homes and Signature Villas provide large and spacious villas, all individually designed, and featuring high quality fittings and fixtures throughout. Both also come with landscaped gardens and pools, and the Signature Villas also come with their own stretch of private beach!
Apartment options on the Palm are extensive, but the most popular developments for freehold apartments include the Shoreline Apartments and Golden Mile apartments, both which are located on the trunk of the Palm Jumeirah. Both of these developments feature a wide range of apartment sizes and bedrooms, and many feature brilliant sea views, and all whilst being surrounded by plentiful shopping and entertainment options. Freehold property at the Palm may not come cheap, but isn’t that the point of such an exclusive development!
