Dubai Rents Soar!

photo Mark Wallington

Dubai Property BoomThe property boom in Dubai continues to propel the costs of renting accommodation through the roof, and buying freehold property is still a wise move if you want to own a home in Dubai or anywhere else in the Middle East.  It was recently announced that Dubai now has the tenth highest office rents in the world, putting it ahead of places like New York in the listings, meaning that commercial space comes at a very high premium.  With news like this, it is easy to see that the current property boom or commercial and residential property is not quite ready to slow down, and property investors are likely to see prices inflate even more in the future.

The Dubai property boom has led to an increase in demand for freehold property as a solution to the high costs…

Dubai Property Developers Update

photo Mark Wallington

Dubai PropertyWith so much real estate for sale in Dubai, it’s often a good idea to choose the project you wish to buy within based on the real estate developer.  There are numerous local and foreign freehold developers on the Dubai property market, and finding a developer that offers a high standard of service and quality with their projects is vital.  Most of the major projects on the freehold market are from just a handful of key developers, while some of the smaller; more niche developments may be more to your taste.

Emaar is the flagship developer of Dubai, the first Emirate of the UAE to introduce freehold property to expatriates.  As a result, Emaar is responsible for a large number of projects available on the market, particularly a high degree of finished…

Dubai Waterfront Property

Dubai Water Front PropertyWaterfront property is always the most popular in any country, and Dubai is no different.  With such an extensive coastline, finding waterfront real estate in Dubai is full of options.  From apartments to villas, there is a large amount of choice in freehold property, and although properties with vistas of the Arabian Sea are more expensive than others, they are the perfect investment if you want to live close to the beach.

The Palm Jumeirah is perhaps most recognised for offering waterfront property, particularly due to the projects’ extension of the Dubai coastline.  Apartments line the trunk of the Palm, while luxury villas line the fronds of the Palm and no matter what you choose, you will get either a private piece of beachfront or a beautiful beach…

Ideal Family Homes In Dubai

photo Mark Wallington

Dubai PropertyThe Dubai property market seems to offer plenty of apartment projects for investors, but what about families?  After all, a large percentage of Dubai’s residents live with their families, and in order to buy freehold, they have to accommodate to more people!  Don’t worry though, because Dubai’s freehold market does offer a good amount of properties that will suit families, and much more is included in new projects that are currently under construction.

For most families, the priorities for buying a property in Dubai are that the home is spacious, in a good location, and a safe place for children.  Fortunately, all villa developments have 24-hour security, excellent amenities in the surrounding areas and are within specifically designed communities with…

Is Ajman The New Dubai?

photo Mark Wallington

Ajman PropertyMore and more people are looking to make the United Arab Emirates a permanent residence but are feeling priced out of the Dubai property market.  What is the solution? A property in another Emirate.  Dubai is centrally located within the UAE, and if property prices are causing you to look elsewhere for your dream home, why not look to the other Emirates of Abu Dhabi, Sharjah, Ras Al Khaimah and Ajman.

Ajman property is a particularly good investment for potential buyers, offering the same liberties as Dubai but at a fraction of the price.  The Ajman freehold property market was quick to follow on from Dubai, still the market leader by far, and Ras Al Khaimah, that has also established itself with many property projects.  While Ajman has not yet seen the…

Investing In Dubai Commercial Property

photo Mark Wallington

Dubai propertyAs Dubai’s skyline continues to reach dizzying new heights, the price of office space does the same, which is grave concern for businesses in the Emirate.  The increase in freehold projects aims to solve the woes of firms in the region by offering more commercial property to meet the high levels of demand, and with projects meeting the top and lower ends of the budget, office space will become more freely available over the next few years as projects are slowly completed.
Dubai is quickly becoming a top destination for tourism and business, meaning that greater interest in the Emirate is pushing up the prices of office space to the levels you see in other large cities across the world.  With the freehold property boom bringing the opportunity to own…

Off Plan Property In Dubai

photo Mark Wallington

Dubai Off PlanThe Dubai property market got its start selling off-plan property, and even today, this remains an important part of the market sector.  While a large amount of property is finished and available for potential buyers to view, which has the obvious advantage of seeing what you buy, the costs of buying completed property are often higher than property that is still off-plan.

With so many projects in the works to be rolled out over the next several years, a great future investment is off-plan property.  Early buyers when the market started reaped huge rewards from buying their homes off-plan and the same can be true today.  A huge number of properties are available for sale right now that will not be finished for another few years, and if the current state…

Dubai Studio Apartments

photo Mark Wallington

Dubai StudiosMore and more property investors are being priced out of global property markets, and unfortunately, the Dubai property market has seen incredible price inflation over the past few years.  Owning a property has become difficult, however, studio apartments are a great option for property buyers that are new to the market, overseas property investors, or buyers that want to rent out their property.

Many people find it difficult to buy that first property and buying a studio is a great place to start.  There are a number of easily affordable studios within most property developments in

Dubai and all of these come with the same facilities and amenities you would get if you were buying a bigger apartment.  If you are just one person, then a studio can offer…
