photo Mark Wallington

Dubai Property PricesThinking about buying a home in Dubai? With property prices set to increase during the summer months, and recent reports that property prices have escalated by an amazing 78% from the end of 2007, there really is no time to waste in buying a piece of Dubai real estate.  While the costs of buying a home in Dubai are soaring, thanks to the continual high demand for property, this does mean that buying now will increase the value of your property in a very short space of time.

Dubai properties cost millions right now and the boom continues. For most people this is seen as a huge investment, and if you are thinking that prices are going to start declining, think again.  Dubai, as well as neighbouring Emirate Abu Dhabi, is still facing a severe shortage of…

Dubai Property Restrictions

photo Mark Wallington

Dubai Property GuidelinesProperty buyers need to be aware of all the implications of buying a property, so just like any other market, it is essential to know the restrictions on buying Dubai property.  Issues such as residence visas, and stipulations on renting an owned property are currently serious topics that potential buyers should know about before making any kind of investment.
The latest story form the Real Estate Regulatory Authority (RERA) is that buyers and current property owners need to be aware of visa issues when buying Dubai real estate.  Many property developers have been selling their properties through the promise of an automatic residency visa upon the purchase of a home.  While this will certainly entice a few investors, and overseas investors will certainly…

Auctions.  While auctions are certainly not a common event in Dubai, this is just the latest idea from property developers to sell properties at what they see is the true market value and give owners another route to sell Dubai property.

The first major property auction took place on the 12th June at the Burj Al Arab, and was a huge success.  At total of Dhs 250 million was made in the space of just two hours, owing to the calibre of investors that attended on an invite only…

Burj Dubai Dizzy Heights!!

photo Mark Wallington

Burj DubaiThe Latest news from Emaar is that the Burj Dubai is set to be even taller than anticipated.  With the recent announcement that there will be around a eight to nine month delay on the release of the project, now expected in the third quarter of 2009, this is obviously down to the newly planned upgrades of floors and interiors.  While the Burj Dubai’s final height has been a much-guarded secret since the beginning of its construction, many people had thought that the tower had reached its peak already.  With this latest announcement, Emaar are looking to garner more attention for this record-breaking tower, to account for the delays in schedule.

It is expected that there will be an additional two communication floors added to the current number of floors…

Buying Dubai Property During The Summer

photo Mark Wallington

Dubai MarinaWhile the summer is usually the time when the property market slows down, think again this year. With such high levels of demand from the start of autumn when new residents flood into Dubai and current residents come back from their holidays, more and more property buyers are using the summer months to try to find the best deals for freehold property on the market before the prices go up.

If you are looking to buy a property in Dubai, now is the time to take action and choose a property.  The next few months are extremely significant in the Dubai property market, when property turnover lowers and the market cools slightly.  With more and more people realising that the market is going to stay in boom indefinitely, and that arrival of new residents will…

Emirates Road The New "locale" In Dubai?

photo Mark Wallington

Dubai PropertyThe centre of Dubai has long been defined by the Sheikh Zayed Road, the highway running through the city and connecting all the most popular districts.  If you live near Sheikh Zayed, then you live in the best location, especially where traffic is concerned.  However, with the freehold property boom, all this is about to change, as the Emirate of Dubai extends outwards away from the main highway.

The Emirates Road, a newer highway, is the new adjacent for many of the new freehold property developments that are completed or under construction, and over the next few years there will be a lot more residents along this road over Sheikh Zayed Road.  Dubai’s residents choose where to live not just on budget, but also on convenience, and the most convenient…

"Niche" Dubai Property

photo Mark Wallington

Dubai Palm JumeirahDubai is known for its unique ventures, especially in terms of construction.  Commonly referred to as the Las Vegas of the Middle East, the Emirate is known for creating projects that amaze and defy the conventional, and this same idea has been applied to various freehold property developments across the city.  Sure, there are many great, conventional properties available, which will certainly be what most property buyers are looking for, but for the odd few that want to own a home in a project that’s different, then there are certainly plenty available here if you have the money and want a special piece of Dubai real estate.

The World Islands are just one of the fantastic and interesting freehold projects available for expatriates and overseas investors…
