Ashley is one of my favorite neighborhoods in Sarasota, Florida. This community of 106 homes offers residents large lots with mature trees and landscaping. The homes were built in the 1990's which offer residents high ceilings, open floor plans and large windows for plenty of natural light. Ashley is located off Proctor road just east of Interstate 75. Most of the lots are close to an acre or larger. Residents are within a 20 minute drive to Siesta Key and downtown Sarasota. They also have easy access to several golf courses, restaurants and shopping areas.

How about a newer home within 20 minutes of Siesta Key beach? Take a drive with me through the Tuscana subdivision in Sarasota, Florida. Most of the 99 homes in this community were built by local award winning builder Lee Wetherington. Residents love the high ceilings, lots of windows for ample natural light, fabulous floor plans, gorgeous pools, rich barrel tile roofs and the fabulous attention to detail that newer homes offer.

Love to golf? Within the immediate area you can play at Bent Tree, Serenoa, Laurel Oaks and Gator Creek. There are also some great shopping and restaurants within a short drive from Tuscana.

Require some space? Want a home on a large lot of an acre or more? Take a look at the Country Creek subdivision in east Sarasota. Located just past Interstate 75 off Proctor road Country Creek offers large lots yet is still within a relatively short drive to area beaches, shopping, golf courses, gyms, churches, entertainment and restaurants. Buyers often complain that they have to go too far east to get a home with a large lot. That is not the case with Country Creek.

Do you like some space? Looking for a home where your neighbor is not sitting 30 feet from your home? Take a look at the Foxfire West subdivision in east Sarasota, Florida. This is a small community of 58 homes that offer spacious lots. Unlike other communities with acreage Foxfire West is that it is still very close to many of the amenities of Sarasota. You can be riding your horse on your property one minute and then take a 15 to 20 minute drive to Siesta Key beach for a nice sunset walk.

My Siesta Key water front home just went under contract. The Sarasota real estate market has been active as of late. This is our busy season as a lot of "snowbirds" or northerners come down to escape the harsh winter weather and enjoy our great weather and sun. Our pending sales have hit a 3 year high.

This Siesta Key home is a 4 bedroom, 3.5 bathroom, 3.397 square foot on a canal with no bridges to bay. The list price is $1,099,000. We were priced aggressively (which is what it takes in this market). Our nearest competitor in the neighborhood was $450,000 more.

Residents love the easy access to Siesta Key beach. Head south to Clark road and then west to Siesta Key. You can be there in 10-15 minutes from your home in Three Oaks. Like to shop? You can access Home Depot, Wal Mart, Target, Gulf Gate mall, Sarasota Square Mall and Southgate mall within minutes of this lovely  family community.
