East Lake Area ~ What's New?

The East Lake area of Palm Harbor and Tarpon Springs remains one of the most popular areas in northern Pinellas County.  In fact, many people from the southern portion of Pinellas County continue to move up this way to take advantage of newer and bigger homes, fantastic schools, and tons of amenities.  Speaking of schools, Brooker Creek and Cypress Woods Elementary schools have both been rated a 10 by the parents of children who attend there, according to GreatSchools.net and East Lake High School has earned a Grade A rating from the State of Florida for 7 straight years in a row!  That's something to brag about!

So What's New in East Lake?

John Kent with his Northern Pinellas Boot Camp for Women is sold out again for his second session of 2008.  John started this exciting "out of gym" exercise program just a few months ago and the concept of taking off with the East Lake women.  It's a great way to meet other East Lake women, get fit, and enjoy the sunny Florida outdoors.  His classes run for 4 weeks, take a week off to rest, and then start up again.  There's always a spot for you if you sign up early!

There's a new restaurant in town as well.  New York Diner opened last month -- completely redecorated in a 50s theme and is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner.  It's right next to the Publix grocery store in the Brooker Creek Plaza.  This is a great addition to the neighborhood with a family friendly atmosphere.  Pirces are right and the food is excellent.

Plus, three of our East Lake listings have been reduced.  Our luxury Tarpon Springs home on Lake Tarpon in Chateaux Des Lacs has been reduced to $1,397,000.  It features almost 6000 sq. ft. of living space on one floor, a sports room full of high end electronics that convey, approx. 1.6 acres of lush landscaping and your very own boat dock and slip to our famous 2500 acre fishing lake.  We've had a few Broker's Opens at this home and each time we couldn't get the men out of the sports room.  One of them named it the "Man Cave".  Come take a look and you will see why.  This is an outstanding value for a large quality built home with lake access.

Another East Lake listing in Ridgemoor's Salem Square has also been reduced to $255,000.  This is an awesome villa, so much larger than it seems and a must see!   The home has chair rails in many of the rooms but the walls were all painted white.  We took it upon ourselves to dress it up a bit and what a difference it has made.  We used all neutral paint colors, that will go with any decor.  Since it is vacant now, we also jazzed it up a bit and decorated the kitchen, bathrooms, plant shelves, and fireplace.  We think it looks awesome.

Last but not least the Turtle Creek of East Lake Woodland's home that we refer to as the "Bells and Whistles Home" has been reduced to $795,000.  This home epitomizes the true Florida lifestyle.  Inside is a light airy and contemporary flow and outside is a dramatic wooded backdrop with a high end outdoor kitchen.  Many upgrades are yours with this new home, including a true gourmet kitchen with subzero appliances, hardwood floors throughout and many architecural features that make this home a showplace.

East Lake is a great place to locate your family.  Situated on the Pinellas Trail - you find lots to do to get exercise.  John Chesnut Park is but a short walk from most subdivisions and it s great way to connect with nature.  Into golf?  There's numerous golf courses both private and public in East Lake Woodlands, Lansbrook, Crescent Oaks, Cypress Run and Wentworth.  Where's the beach?  Got you covered there too.  No more than a 15 minute drive takes you to some of the highest rated beaches in the United States.  What more could anyone want?  We love it here, you will too!
