Incorporating Video Technology in Real Estate
Posted Feb 2, 2009 @ 8:50 am, Viewed by 433 Visitors, Read 438 Times.Buying a home is a long and arduous process that can very well be one of the most important decisions an individual can make. There are some factors that can make this process smoother than others. Finding an experienced, knowledgeable realtor is a great way to make the process easier to understand and can provide the buyer with information that could take weeks to ascertain without a realtor. In the growing field of video technology, one item can make the process even less painful-a movie tour.
Many real estate sites offer a photo of the home that is for sale and sometimes offer a brief description of some of the dimensions and rooms. Others offer several photos of the home for sale, which is helpful. A movie tour can offer the prospective homebuyer an opportunity to see the entire makeup of a home, leaving very little to the imagination. It is difficult for a family to relocate to an entirely new area without generating large expenses on traveling and searching for the proper home. While a movie tour cannot eliminate all expenses, it can certainly provide an accurate description of what the home truly is, as the camcorder does not lie. An added full-detailed description of the community can also provide the homebuyer with the ample information to make a better decision on whether the area is right for his/her needs.
A movie tour cannot replace the experience of seeing a home in its entirety first hand, but it is the next best option. Eventually, the buyer will have to come and visit the home, but it can certainly rule out whether the potential buyer wants to even see the home in the first place. A movie tour cannot replace the knowledge and expertise of a professional realtor, but it can enhance the realtor by providing a useful and accurate tool to sell the home.
The digital age has presented an opportunity to realtors and homebuyers, closing the gap between unknown and known. It creates a relationship of trust, as there is nothing hidden or unseen. Perhaps in the near future there will be a means to expedite the paperwork, too!
