Tech Jobs In Florida! Florida Ranks #4 In Tech Jobs.

photo Katerinag

Florida ranks 4th in the nation for tech industry jobs and our area of South Florida leads the pack according to Cybercities 2007 report just released.

There is a lot of competition among states to attract the high tech companies. Miami/Dade, Broward and Palm Beach Counties has 75,278 tech industry employees in 2005. They were paid an average annual wage of $61,600 and the employees working in the software part of the industry got paid an average of $86,400.

Florida is the second fastest growing Cyberstate. Florida only trails California, Texas and New York. I am not sure that our legislature comprehends these facts because they are so slow to act on issues regarding high tech companies moving here. Florida has great potential to continue to grow…

photo Katerinag

If you are following the long saga of Mark Bellissimo and Glenn Straub you will be happy to know that perhaps their woes are over, for the time being anyways. Glenn Straub agreed to sell his Palm Beach Polo Equestrian Club to developer Mark Bellissimo for $25 Million. Hopefully this means their lawsuits against each other are over and done with. Wellington Wants Stadium Jumping To Stay Here, No Doubt About It

photo Katerinag

Stadium Jumping wants to stay in Wellington and the Village of Wellington wants them to stay here in town too. At the hearing on August 20th only one counselperson, Laurie Cohen was against getting this move started right away and approving the relocation. No one else on the counsel wants Stadium Jumping to go through  a one to two year review and approval process that most moves such as this have to go through. Mark Bellissimo is Stadium Jumping's rival and he is accusing the Village of giving Stadium Jumping special treatment.

We are talking about multi million dollar horse shows here. We are talking jobs, the economy and a lifestyle that Wellington residents have come to know and love. Stadium Jumping was on track to get this relocation through…

Stadium Jumping Saga Continues As Village Delays Approvals

photo Katerinag

The Village Of Wellington just shut down their approval of Mische's Stadium Jumping proposal because the approval is only favoring one party- Stadium Jumping! Laurie Cohen decided to bring this up and to delay the vote stating it was only benefiting Stadium Jumping. The Village did approve to move it to vote  at the rehearing on August 20th.

There are landowners who are concerned about what this will do to their property values because of new restrictions it will place on horse arenas. The new ordinance would require the landowners already living in this section of Wellington to have to go before the Village and plead their case for building their horse arenas instead of simply applying for a permit which now is the case. This gives the Village the power…

Equestrian Quarrels In Wellington With Village Denials And Approvals!

She went into partnership with Mark Bellissimo who may or may not have disclosed the extent of the parking problem. Even from the beginning of the Tavern opening they had problems with the Village of Wellington.
