OK, we all know we are in a real estate buyers market (at least I hope we all know this).  What happens in a real estate buyers market?  Well, home buyers become very scarce, very picky, and very expecting of a deal if they are to buy at all.  Some may even say that home buyers in a real estate buyers market become jaded.

In today's highly competitive Morris County real estate market is has become extremely important that you hire the best. 

It used to be that a Morris County home owner could hire any REALTOR who would put their home into the Morris County MLS and be assured that their home would sell. 

Oh how times have changed!  Now a days most of the home buyers are searching online for their next home, and they are not working with a Morris County REALTOR until near the end of their home search.  By the time they contact a Morris County REALTOR they have spend on average the better part of 5 months looking at towns, they usually have a top 5 or 6 homes picked out and chances are better then 50 50 that one of those top…

As of late there are all these different websites popping up wanting to be your source for information about Morristown New Jersey.  Many of these sites are mainly about selling ad space to people such as Morristown REALTORS, and Morristown Mortgage Brokers, and many other businesses in and about town. 

To be honest, one of these sites approached me in the early summer asking me to buy the rights to my town.  Their deal was $200 to start and then there was a monthly fee.  They also had this scheme where they wanted me to go around to different business in town selling them possitions on the site.  In exchange for selling these possitions they were offering discounts off of the monthly fees.  I thought about it for a bit, and then decided that I would need…

The Convent Station Real Estate market has been fairly busy as of late.  With 13 homes closing and transferring to their new owners in August I can say this is better than what took place in August of 2007.

The month of August 08 has come to a close with 23 homes listed for sale in Morristown NJ sold.  This is a small improvment, but it is a improvment and the signs continue to come in that the Morristown NJ real estate market has bottomed.

Home seller have gotten the hint over and over again and now we are seeing the median number of days to sell at 65 days.  There are still quite a number of homes on the market which have been sitting out there for 100 or more days.  Some of these homes I really in my own mind don't consider for sale anymore.  The home seller and the real estate agents who have them listed for sale are not even trying any more.  Why do I say that?  No price reductions after 100+ days on the market, knowing the market the way I do, I can…

The Morris Township Committee was expected to discuss changes to its affordable housing requirement yesterday, Wednesday, as they affect the first housing plan to come under those requirements, a property on James Street approved last year for 92 townhouses.

Mayor Nace said the development under consideration for Wednesday, the site of an old Verizon building, could very easily result in the owner of the property walking away and selling the land to a church or another non-taxpaying entity.

Yesterday was the day to treat my mother in-law to a trip into Manhattan NYC.  We decided to see a Broadway show, Mamma Mia to be exact.  This was our chance to take the Midtown Direct Train into the city and just enjoy ourselves.  Other than the show, no agenda, no traffic, no parking, just get on the train and relax.

Let me first say, the show was excelent, I highly recomend it.  The show was very funny, but very entertaining and fun at the same time.  Have not seen the movie yet but I am told that it is very good as well but for different reasons.
