Here we are near the end of 2008, and despite what many people think, homes have been selling here in Morristown New Jersey, and they continue to sell. Morristown NJ did have a few more problems with foreclosures than many of the surrounding towns. Most of those Morristown Foreclosures were concentrated at the lower end of the market, where undercapitalized Morristown home flippers had been buying Morristown homes back in 2005 and 2006. Now with home prices off 15% to 20% many of those Morristown Home Flippers were not able to complete their home flip porjects and walked away from them.
Interestingly there have been some very good deals in Morristown NJ homes as of late. One of which I personally tried to purchase. It was a 4 bedroom 3 full bath single family home on Morristown's West side. I bid asking price and them revised my bid higher but was still unable to win the deal. Another home was a 3 bedroom 2 bath on Morristown's East side. A client of mine purchased that one, and boy did they get a great deal on that home in a wonderful Morristown NJ neighborhood.
