There is a dirty little secret that some New Jersey Real Estate listing agents are keeping. This little secret eventually gets out but usually not until it is to late for the home owner or anyone else to do anything about it.
It all starts with the real estate commission which is negotiated at the time that the home owners sign their listing agreement. What happens is a decision is made as to how that total commission is to be split. The normal practice is to split the commission 50/50 between the listing agent and the buyers agent. Sometimes when the listing agent is trying very hard to bring in a buyer quickly the listing agent will pay out a higher commission to the buyers agent as a incentive to get more showings. Same thing that many car…

Since the 2nd of January my phone 973-647-0253 has been ringing constantly with new home buyers wanting information one Midtown Direct town or another. Even relocating home buyers know that it is more advantageous for future home appreciation to be on the Midtown Direct train line than to be in one of the towns which are not served by the train system.
2008 seems to be starting off much stronger than 2007 ended. I personally have 5 pending sales as I write this, but here is the rub, I talk with many local REALTORS every day, most of them are seeking feedback from showings I have had with buyers at these real estate agents listings. They talk about how slow the New Jersey Real Estate market is, and how they just hate to sit another open house at such…

Attention New Jersey Voters, Political Rant Coming Right At You!!
New Jersey on Sunday became the second state to enter a compact that would eliminate the Electoral College's power to choose a president if enough states endorse the idea.
Governor Jon Corzine has signed legislation that approves delivering the state's 15 electoral votes to the winner of the national popular vote. The Assembly approved the bill last month and the Senate followed suit earlier this month.
What does this mean for New Jersey's presidential vote? It means that it really does not matter who wins the state wide vote, if the national vote winner is from the other party, the presidential candidate who lost New Jersey's vote wins New Jerseys vote.
Have you every heard of such a…

New Jersey Governor Jon Corzine Please Read
There are many reasons:
- New Jersey is made up of many great small towns such as Summit NJ just over 20,000 people
- New Jerseys biggest town Newark is in the beginning stages of a huge redevelopment plan
- New Jerseys Governor does not seem to understand that a continually growing state government is driving good paying jobs out of the state. In fact New Jersey Governor Jon Corzine seems to be in denial about the whole subject.
- The New Jersey legislature seems to have no real working knolledge of how economics work. They just want more taxes.
- Many of the local town governments in New Jersey seem to have a greedy child…
Morristown New Jersey Becoming A Walkable Town.
With high gas prices ever worsening traffic many people are wanting to make a change.
Towns like Morristown New Jersey are making it possible to live without a car for the most part. With many homes within walking distance of Morristowns downtown and central green it becomes much easier to just walk a few blocks to the store or that 3 or 4 star restaurant, or to the theaters. The Morristown train station is just a short walk from downtown Morristown NJ as well. From the Morristown train station you can connect to the Midtown Direct Line and be in Manhattan NYC in no time at all.
There are plenty of new construction condos going up in Morristown as well. Some of them would qualify as Luxury Condominiums such as Vail Mansion and Dehart Place. More…
