Broad Ripple and Meridian Kessler Homes in Indianapolis
Posted Jan 21, 2009 @ 7:21 am, Viewed by 1244 Visitors, Read 1343 Times.I wanted to highlight two different and contrasting areas of the Indianapolis real estate market today: Broad Ripple and Meridian Kessler.
Broad Ripple: Broad Ripple is arguably one the “coolest” areas in all Indianapolis and offers the areas best nightlife. Butler University is right around the corner and the college atmosphere overflows into the streets of Broad Ripple. However, Broad Ripple is one of Indianapolis’ “cultural districts” and has more to offer than just a great nightlife and a young atmosphere. I actually thing the discover Broad Ripple website sums it up quite well “Diverse street life, quaint shops and hot night life are set to the back drop of public arts, graffiti murals and beautiful greenway. Art galleries, sidewalk cafes and fabulous restaurants complete the village scape”. If you are looking for Broad Ripple homes for sale, you will find a good variety of homes, condos, and townhomes but Broad Ripple is most noted for its charming bungalows that offer a level of charm of character not found in the suburbs.
Meridian Kessler: Almost in stark contrast to Broad Ripple is the Meridian Kessler area of Indianapolis. Although there are very close in proximity, Meridian Kessler and Broad Ripple are almost polar opposites. While Broad Ripple is associated with youth and nightlife, Meridian Kessler has its roots in wealthy individuals building grand mansions back in the 1920’s. Meridian Kessler still maintains its prominence and is continues to be a very desirable address in the Indianapolis area. Meridian Kessler homes are certainly more expensive than the Broad Ripple homes but offer historical charm and character on a more grand scale.
Meridian Kessler and Broad Ripple are just two great areas to call home amongst all the other great Washington Township homes for sale in Indianapolis. If you are considering buying or selling a home in either of these areas or anywhere in Indianapolis, please visit our website for more information how we can help you out with your next real estate transaction in Indianapolis.
