Lynwood Downs: An Established Equestrian Community in Franklin Tennessee

Yesterday I spent most of my day doing what I find most enjoyable about my job. Spending a day in the coutry side with two very interesting clients and just looking at the Franklin area estate homes over $1,500,000.

My clients were looking for a recreational retreat to entertain friends and family as they felt there current home was a potential diaster zone with millions of dollars worth of antiques and expense wall treatments...not the place to have all the kids running around and enjoying themselves!

As a result, they picked the Nashville area as the buyers have had some history here, and have always enjoyed the temperate climate as well as the proximity to their home in Texas.

Fantastic settiing in a gated valley in Franklin Tennessee

One of the criteria they had was for the home to be set on a minimum of 5 acres yet still have a very open and expansive feel. One of the best examples of this was perhaps the Lynwood Downs gated subdivision in Franklin. Homes don't come on the market very often and I was surprised to see 2 homes were currently for sale.

This subdivision is a perfect example of how the natural beauty of the rolling hill covered trees of Franklin Tennessee can be enhanced by the site of some black horse fenses and some well designed homes.Having horses grazing and frollicking in the fields has always been an attraction even for the residents that don't actually own horses. The subdivision does have is own stalls and riding ring...always a big attraction for horse owners.

Trails are not really incuded in the subdivision but they are just minutes way in places like Leipers Fork another equestrian paradise :)
