Austin MLS Search? You'll Come Up Dry.

Sadly, there is no Austin MLS team to be found.
Austin native, and Realtor Ronnie Bredahl was quoted as saying, "I'm not sure why there's no Austin MLS, it doesn't really make any sense." He went on, "We have a large population of MLS fans, and it would stand to reason that an Austin MLS team would draw quite a crowd - after all, look how well the Round Rock Express is doing."
There's really no way to tell if the lack of an MLS team in Austin has affected real estate prices dramatically. There are too many other variables that come into play in a market as diverse as Austin's. However, rest assured that we have lost more than one buyer due to our lack of an Austin MLS, and that drives real estate prices down.

Great illustration! It will really be up to local boards whether they try to enforce the MLS stuff or not but you always have those "rules" people who try to take every rule to the extreme

Eric, That was a great post, however, I do have a correction to add: When I said we need a Austin MLS team I was refering to a Minor League Soccer team as in "MLS." I understand how you could get Austin MLS confused with Austin MLS. No hard feelings nor any lawsuits forthcoming! You're right about the Austin MLS Search! There is nothing pulling up on Google for "Austin MLS" in the Austin Texas area. All I see is Austin Board of Realtors and a Austin Home Search site. MLS in Austin would rock! We should call the Chairman of the MLS and find out why Austin is being punished.
