Louisville's Extreme Home Makeover
Posted Nov 12, 2007 @ 12:39 pm, Viewed by 1119 Visitors, Read 1147 Times. What is amazing about Patrick is that he (and his dad...) do not let this stop them. It is an amazing story of the love his Dad has for him and what you can accomplish when you put your mind to it.
ABC's started this last Wednesday and demolished the old house early on Day 2. Here is a picture of the house as of Sunday night...notice that it is COMPLETE and there is even the first coat of paint on the interior. AMAZING. Joe Pusateri is the builder on this project and his Mom works at our office. Joe is a nice guy and has done one whale of a job. I will bet that this is truly an experience of a lifetime for him.

The good folks at ABC have also sent Patrick and his family to meet (according to rumors) with a couple of MAJOR recording stars...and to enjoy a week's vacation. They also have re-done the University of Louisville band practice field as part of the makeover. Kudos to them.
Anyway, this is set to air during the February sweeps...when you see it, be sure to drop a comment.
Enjoy.

Thats awesome! I love that show. I didn't realize they did the construction so far in advance.
Hey Annie; The truly wild part was how fast demolition went...brick house...start to finish 90 minutes. I agree with you (enjoy the show myself). It is good to see TV shows that actually do something positive for people. This whole community feels good right now, and it is mostly because they are all pitching in to help someone else... They had all of the volunteers that they could handle within 2 hours. I TRIED to volunteer, but was too late. Says a lot about this place and how they will all drop everything to pitch in and help... Best Eric
They did one back when I lived on Long Island, for a cop who lost his wife to breast cancer. It truly is amazing to go there and watch. The turn out is incredible, we had to park like a mile away! Good article Eric!
Great article Eric. I am really proud to be part of this community as well. My wife Kelly was there doing a piece for her morning radio show just before the demolition and they dragged her into the big "Braveheart" march up scene in the beginning. Should be fun to look for her in February.
That is one incredible show. The people not only build those homes with their hands but with a big heart full of love. It's hard not to shed a tear when you watch some of the amazing things they do for people in need.
