Let me start off by saying that I don't know my fellow REW member Marc Rasmussen very well. What I will say is that what the Sarasota Association of Realtors is doing to him is unfair, deceitful, and classless.  I have always wondered if my local association of Realtors would ever be there for me if I needed them. For all these years I have had my doubts but never had any real reason to suspect that they would not hold up to their end of the bargain, much less attack one of it's fellow memebrs.

Now I know my local board is not the same as in Sarasota but that doesn't make a difference to me. If the National Association of Realtors will let one of it's member associations to do this to a Realtor and do nothing about it, that is a form of agreement to me.…

 Well I had the unfortunate opportunity to come into contact with a potential BAD deal. Good thing I listened to my instincts and didn't allow me or my client to become victims to what could have been suckers bait. 

This is how it went down. I was approached by buyers with their agent who said they wanted to pay cash for one of my listings. Awesome right? As I read their offer I noticed that they didn't want to disclose where the money would be coming from. The only information they would tell me is that it was from a foreign trust located in the UK, namely "SOVEREIGN TRUST". I advised my client that this smelled like a scam but it may be possibly that they are "dignitaries" as they claimed. We decided to move forward with a 10 day close and…

 A lot has been said as to how bad a market we are in. I can't tell you how many times a day I hear "I thought it was a terrible time to be in real estate". I am not sure about what people mean but for myself I have been pretty busy as of lately. One thing is for sure there is no shortage of Atlanta Condos and I don't think there will be for quite some time.
