Holly Springs approves Hickory Flat petitions

The city council annexed and rezoned 227 acres on Stringer Road, Hickory Road, Ga. 140 and East Cherokee Drive from county Agriculture (AG) to city AG. About 41 acres on Ga. 140 and East Cherokee Drive were annexed and rezoned from county Residential-40 (R-40) to city R-40. Officials annexed and rezoned 92 acres on Stringer Road from Residential Development-3 (RD-3) in the county to RD-3 in the city and 52 acres from county Residential-15 (R-15) to city R-15.

The city council also annexed and rezoned 20 acres on East Cherokee Drive from AG/Residential-80 single-family residential in the county to the same designation under the city’s zoning ordinances.

A 14-acre tract on Ga. 140 was annexed and rezoned from Office & Institutional (O&I) and Residential-20 (R-20) single-family residential in the county to the city’s same designation, and a 13-acre tract on Ga. 140 was annexed and rezoned from the county’s General Commercial (GC), R-20 and O&I to the city’s GC, R-20 and O&I categories. The City of Holly Springs is Growing, and will be the reason that Woodstock and Canton Georgia will all interconnect in the near future.
