West Sacramento Foreclosures

The City of West Sacramento across the river from Sacramento is pretty typical for the region. There have been many homes in pre-foreclosure or taken back by the lender. While West Sacramento has a lot going for it and is a very conveient location to downtown Sacramento, this was an area with a lot of subprime loans. Here are some housing statistics for West Sac. for the past 6 months.

Looking at total inventory it is easy to see that the majority of homes that are selling are REO/Foreclosed property. It is also clear that sales in this six month period have slowed a bit. This information is from Trendgraphix and only shows through the end of November. December's data will become available in a couple of weeks.

It seems that buyers scooping up foreclosures is the trend everywhere. The perception is that if it is not a foreclosure then they paid too much.
