Addison: DFW's Most Social Town

Long recognized as a hot hangout on Dallas residents’ social radar, it’s no secret that Addison offers a lot in the way of hospitality.  There are more than 170 restaurants and bars squeezed into Addison’s 4.3 square miles.  But wait, there’s more!  There is some great Addison real estate nestled behind rows of restaurants and swank apartment buildings!  Those who have purchased homes for sale in Addison have been delighted not only by the area’s hip, social lifestyle, but also by the plethora of municipally-sponsored social events for the whole family.  The following are just a few reasons for Addison residents to step out:

SPRING EVENTS

• The North Texas Jazz Festival – held in early April, this event is a three day celebration of great music.  The acclaimed One O’clock Jazz Band from nearby UNT is usually a featured performer.
• Taste Addison – a foodie’s delight in May, this yummy festival features samplings from 50+ local restaurants, plenty of music, and a midway for the kids.

SUMMER EVENTS

• Cinema in the Circle – brink a date and a blanket to Addison Circle Park during June for outdoor movies all month long.
• Kaboom Town – held around July 4th every year, Addison calls this holiday celebration it’s “most explosive!”  You can see the awesome fireworks from anywhere in town, and this display is one of the area’s most spectacular.

FALL EVENTS

• Oktoberfest – it’s a well-done recreation of Germany’s annual drinkfest!  Be sure to check the calendar, though, as Addison typically hosts the festival in late September.
• Monster Movie Mash – if you’re too old for tricks or treats, enjoy classic Halloween flicks in the park until 2am!

GOING ON ALL THE TIME
