The neighborhood of Wellshire, also known as Southern Hills, is one of Denver's premier starter communities. It features a number of home options, as well as plenty of amenities for families and for individuals alike.

Wellshire is so named because of the Wellshire Golf Course. This golf course was originally a private country club, which the city of Denver purchased back in the 1950s. Today, the Wellshire Golf Course is one of the favorite public courses in all of Denver.

Wellshire also features the Wellshire Inn, one of the finest gourmet restaurants in all of Denver, as well.

Scenic Denver neighborhoods, such as Wellshire, are also often known for their quiet, community atmospheres, as well as lush, green lawns. There are plenty of opportunities for bike riding and walking in the neighborhood, and it offers plenty of interesting scenery.

Wellshire real estate is located near both the Cherry Creek School District and Slavens Elementary, both of which are known for their commitment to the highest standards in public education. You’ll also find the University of Denver nearby, as well as all of the amenities that come with a University town.

Home styles vary in Wellshire. There are modest frame and brick homes, as well as some newer larger homes that have been built in recent years. The sprawling brick ranch seems to be the most common type of dwelling, giving plenty of room for spacious urban living.
